Celebrating our 16th year, the American Lung Association in Colorado proudly offers the only timed race event at the iconic, gorgeous Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. This unique run/walk challenge combines breathtaking scenery and a rock ‘n roll vibe for our 1.3-mile Family Fun Walk/Run, 5K and 10K. Dogs welcome at all three (3) events.

We will host over 1,500 participants on a course that begins in the upper parking lot at Red Rocks and continues along the beautiful park roads, concluding with the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre stairs. Bands will be present along the route to entertain and motivate you with a real rock ‘n roll vibe!

You can register online by choosing the Register option on the Run the Rocks home page and specifying your participation type: Recreate Team from Last Year, Register as a New Team Captain, Register as a Team Member or Register as an Individual.

The 5K and the 1.3-mile Family Fun Walk/Run are open to all participants and there is no time limit for those two events.

The Family Fun Walk/Run is the best for families who want to experience Red Rocks and the beautiful views. Strollers are welcome in this event.

The 10K run is ONLY OPEN to runners who are able to finish a 10K in 90 minutes or less. Please adhere to these guidelines when registering.

Children 5 years old and younger are free of charge.

Children ages 6-17 are $15 for the season with no price increase.

No; the registration fees are the same for individuals and team members and fundraising goals are determined by the Team Captain.

Yes! Advance Packet pickup is highly recommended due to the crowds on the day of the event.

As a non-profit organization, the American Lung Association in Colorado considers the registration fee and pledges a donation to Run the Rocks. Thus, we do not offer refunds and registrations are non-transferable.

No. All three (3) events take place on the roads at Red Rocks Park. Therefore, due to increased traffic into and around the area, additional measures are in place to ensure road safety for all our participants.

Please note that all entrances to the Park will close at 8am. Please plan accordingly.

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome at all three (3) events. Be sure to check out the Run the Rocks Store to outfit your furry family member with an American Lung Association bandana and also purchase a handy travel water bowl.
