General

To ensure the safety of our immune-compromised participants and volunteers, masks are required for all Lung Association event participants, volunteers and staff, regardless of vaccination status, in official event spaces when in close contact with others. Masks may be pulled down while walking. Please wear your mask as you enter the event and while in proximity to other attendees to protect the health of others.

With safety being our number one priority, we are continuing to monitor current CDC guidelines as well as state/local guidelines.

The safest environment for gathering is outside in the fresh air, and to create that safe environment, we will be:

  • Spatial distancing and wearing masks
  • Controlling flow and number of people on-site
  • Following strict site sanitation protocols throughout the day
  • You will be sent a required health assessment via email one day prior to the event. This must be completed prior to entry and shown at registration to be granted access to the Walk.

With safety being our number one priority, we will continue to monitor current CDC guidelines as well as local guidelines. Our Walk Safe Commitment, includes spatial distancing, health screenings, sanitation protocols, and face masks. See our Walk Safe Commitment for additional information.

Signing up for a Walk near you is simple! Click the following links to register online as an individual, team captain, or team member.

While there is no registration fee, we encourage all participants to fundraise a minimum of $100 per person. Your funds will support the mission of the American Lung Association and offset the costs of Zoo admission and parking. We offer a number of fundraising tools to help you be a successful fundraiser. Every dollar helps move us closer to a world free of lung cancer and lung disease.

Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of age. However, all children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants 2 years of age and older must be pre-registered and can help support our mission by raising the suggested minimum of $100 per person.

Every participant who raises a minimum of $100 will receive a commemorative t-shirt. For more motivated fundraisers, there is an additional reward that you can earn. Take a peek at the fundraising incentives. T-shirts will be distributed at the event and mailed to Walk Your Way participants in mid-October.
