Anthem Firefighter Challenge
We’re challenging all Wisconsin fire departments to join us and compete in the Climb by climbing the stairs in full gear.
Anthem’s Firefighter Challenge offers something for every fire department:
- Take on the Challenge: A traveling team trophy is awarded to the fastest department (teams of five or more Climbers).
- Build Team Camaraderie: Participating in the Climb with your department is a great way to spend time together outside of the fire station. Motivate each other through training and fundraising until Climb day when you will cheer each other on from the first step until the last one over the finish line.
- Connect with the Community: Climbers come from all over the state, and the event is a great way to increase your department’s visibility, interaction and outreach with the community you serve in a dynamic, high-energy event.
Please consider putting together a team of climbers from your fire department to show your commitment to lung health and clean air!
Please note: There is a $100 fundraising minimum for all firefighters to participate in the
Anthem Firefighter Challenge on March 9 at Fight For Air Climb - Milwaukee.
Gear Requirements
Firefighters participating in the Anthem Firefighter Challenge should bring/wear clean gear and carefully review our gear requirements. To qualify for the fastest team, five team members are required to participate. If a team has more than five members, the fastest five times will be calculated.

Firefighters are welcome to climb solo during the Firefigher challenge as well. If you are looking to join an area team or are willing to welcome additional firefighters to your team, reach out to our events team at EventsWI@Lung.org
