What is the Climb For Clean Air?
Join us as you reach the summit of one of our region's most prominent peaks.
Climb for Clean Air is an exclusive mountaineering training and fundraising program designed to give you the training, technical support and guide services you need to summit these magnificent mountains safely.
Climb For Clean Air has been available to people of all levels who are ready to take on the challenge of summiting a mountain since 1987. Funds raised by participants will support the mission of the American Lung Association to saving lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
Overview
Your climbs will be led by highly trained professional alpine guides from Rainier Mountaineering, Inc. (Mt. Rainier & Mexico Volcanoes), KAF Adventures (Mt. Hood & Alumni Climb), and the Mt. St. Helens Research Institute (Mt. St. Helens).
The minimum fundraising requirement to participate and have a guaranteed spot for your mountain varies depending on the mountain:
- Mt. St. Helens Climb: $1,500
- Mt. Hood and Alumni Climb: $4,750
- El Dorado Zone Climb: $4,750
- Pico de Orizaba & Ixtaccihuatl Climb: $10,000
This includes all professional guide fees, one night’s lodging, team training hikes, nutrition coaching, our kickoff party, plus discounts on gear!
