With safety being our number one priority, we are continuing to monitor current CDC guidelines as well as state/local guidelines.
The safest environment for gathering is outside in the fresh air, and to create that safe environment, we will be:

American Family Field 2021 Fight For Air Climb Route
Free parking is available for all participants on event day at American Family Field in the Thomas and Aaron lots. You can find a map of the grounds here.
Start times will be shared at least one week prior to event day. You will receive an email link to the start times. You will also receive a "wave number".
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time. This gives you time to park and warm up.
When you arrive at American Family Field, please proceed to the Right Field Gate to check in with your immediate family and/or pod, located on the southeast side of the stadium. Visit our Climber Questions table if you have additional donations to turn in; these should be placed in a sealed envelope with participant name, bib # and amount on the outside of the envelope.
When you walk up, each person will provide proof of a passing health screening, completed within 24 hours of entering the event, just print or take a screenshot of your results page. Printed copies of the health screening will be available onsite, but please complete them prior to lining up.
Climbers will be screened through a metal detector and then allowed into the stadium.
You may only bring inhalers, car keys, identification, cell phones, and portable music players into American Family Field with you. Per American Family Field policy, no bags or water bottles allowed. Water will be provided at water stations. Due to building regulations, participants are not allowed to carry children while they climb.
Please leave valuable items at home as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Out of an abundance of caution, there is no event day Gear Check area this year.
If for some reason you cannot complete the climb, someone at the nearest water station can assist you.
The Fight For Air Climb Milwaukee will not be a professionally timed event in 2021. However, we will have timing clocks at the start and finish line to allow for self-timing with the use of personal fitness devices or apps like the Fight For Air Climb App available for Apple and Android. We encourage you to share your finish time with the Climb community post-event by self-reporting your results within 48 hours of event day via Microsoft Form link, shared post-event. Please note, we have eliminated formal award categories for fastest climb times this year.
Ultimate Climbers, your commitment and athletic spirit for the Climb keep this event exciting and competitive. This year, however, several limitations prohibit us from hosting an Ultimate Climb experience. Instead, we are giving you a new challenge of climbing both up and down stadium stairs. With adherence to local health guidelines, venue restrictions, and to allow for physical distancing, climbers will have the opportunity to climb the route once through the stadium. We hope you understand and “ultimately” decide to join us again this year. We look forward to a fun, unique experience under open skies at American Family Field. Let’s climb together safely while raising funds for all those living with lung disease in Wisconsin.
Stadium Climbers have a $150 fundraising minimum and Climb Your Way Virtual Climbers have a $100 fundraising minimum due in order to receive your race packet.
The registration fee does not count toward the fundraising minimum. But don’t worry, we are here to help, and we have plenty of fundraising ideas and tips to get you started!
The American Lung Association is dedicated, now more than ever, to providing you with the Climb experience you know and love. As your Trusted Champion of Lung Health, we are also committed to fulfilling our promise of responsible recreation. Therefore, the American Lung Association will continue to closely monitor public local health conditions and CDC guidelines. In order to appropriately protect our participants' well-being and the community at large, the American Lung Association reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the 2021 Fight For Air Climb.
Should the Fight For Air Climb be altered to be a virtual event, your registration will automatically transfer to virtual participation in our Climb Your Way program. Your registration fee, and any funds raised, will transfer with your registration. Your registration can be credited toward your fundraising. Climb Your Way Participants who raise $100 or more will earn a Fight For Air Climb shirt. Raise $175 or more to qualify for an additional incentive item.
If the Fight For Air Climb is canceled or postponed, funds raised will support the American Lung Association’s mission. You may request to transfer your registration fee to the next event date, but please note that registration fees are non-refundable.
