Your Dollars At Work

The American Lung Association is the leading organization dedicated to saving lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through education, advocacy and research.

Our non-profit organization works to defeat lung cancer, improve the air we breathe, reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families, eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases.

Your generous donations make our work possible. Our important lung health programs and focus areas include:

LUNG FORCE logoLUNG FORCE

A national movement led by the American Lung Association, LUNG FORCE unites women in the fight against lung cancer and for lung health. Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer of men and women in the United States.

Through LUNG FORCE we plan to invest more than $10 million in lung cancer research; $5 million to increase public health promotion including awareness of early detection tools, such as CT screening; provide patients with information about clinical trials and biomarker testing; and advocate for increasing federal funding for lung cancer research to $450 million by 2020.

Lung Action Network logoLung Action Network

Our Lung Action Network is a group of advocates that make their voices heard on key issues that impact lung health. By becoming an advocate, you lend your voice to our critical efforts to reduce lung disease, fight for clean air and, ultimately, save lives. Sign up now!
