Enjoying the Great Outdoors with Asthma!

Kids living with asthma and their families are invited to join in on a guided hike that includes a pre-hike program and education stations along the trail, all led and supported by asthma education and medical professionals. Kids will learn how to prepare for exercise, so they have a positive experience, as well as how to recognize their medical needs and advocate for themselves. Families will learn how to prepare so they can enjoy time with the whole family in the great outdoors.

Registration fee of $10 per family scholarships are available by contacting ellen.penrod@lung.org. Space is limited.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants with asthma should bring their quick relief inhaler and spacer.

Families should be prepared for a day outdoors. Don’t forget a jacket, sun screen, and water.

Brought to you by Always Choose Adventures, American Lung Association of Colorado, Colorado Children’s Hospital and Denver Health.
