Event Day Schedule

Stay tuned for more information on the 2024 Climb Detroit schedule of events, which is anticipated to run from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Please note each type of event participation registration will be scheduled in a different flight group on Climb Day. The Ultimate Climber Power Hour event will kick off the day, followed by First Responder and Firefighters events and the Stadium Climb. Final event details and stair counts will be updated this Winter, including additional details on the event day schedule and endurance options.

2024 Event Day Schedule:

  • Ultimate Climber Power Hour (Pre-Event) | 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM
  • Packet Pick Up & Walk-On Registration | 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • First Responders & Firefighters | 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Elite Climbers & Climbers | 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM

End times are estimated. Full Event Day schedule is subject to change.

**Please note that only Ultimate Climbers will be permitted at 7:00 AM to prepare for their race. Doors will officially open to Firefighters, First Responders, Elite Climbers, Stadium Climbers, and Spectators at 8:00 AM.

The Comerica Landing “Party Zone” will open at 8:30 AM for spectators, preparing Climbers, and more featuring exhibitors, a photo booth, a DJ, Climb Merch, concessions starting at 9:00 AM, and more!

Bib Numbers’s and Flight Times

Bib #’s and Flight Times will be available near the start of event week following the official close of registration on May 13 at noon. Assignment cannot be made until registration has officially closed, so please hang tight until they are posted!

Climber Etiquette

To ensure the safety of all climbers, please be courteous while climbing. If you need to pass, please make sure to pass on the other side of the handrails.

Water Stations

Water stations will be located along the route and Climbers will be permitted to carry a plastic water on the route. Guests may be permitted to bring one factory-sealed, clear plastic bottle of unflavored water per person. Learn more about Comerica Park’s policies.

Safety Procedures

Trained medical personnel will be located throughout the venue in case you need assistance. Volunteers will also be available at the water stations.

Children

Climbers must be at least seven years old to participate. Any climber under the age of 18 must climb with an adult (age 18 years or older) and must not be left alone under any circumstances. For adults who climb at a faster pace, please note that your child may not be left unattended while you climb, so make arrangements accordingly. Due to venue regulations and to ensure your safety and that of your child, child-toting is not allowed.

Awards

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of every climber and team who has raised money to fight lung disease. Participants and teams who have gone above and beyond will be recognized. Awards will be announced following event weekend and details will be provided to winners for pick up. More details to be announced closer to the event.
