Signing up for the Charleston LUNG FORCE Run/Walk is simple! Click the following links to register online as an individual, team captain, team member or volunteer.

Registration is $40 ($30 for children under 12). All participants are encouraged to fundraise to help further the Lung Association’s mission. We offer a number of fundraising tools to help you be a successful fundraiser. Every dollar helps move us closer to a world free of lung cancer and lung disease.

Yes, all registered participants receive an official event t-shirt (while supplies last). Participants who raise $150 or more are eligible for additional rewards. Take a peek at the fundraising incentives.

Corporations, businesses, friends, families, and other organizations can form teams. To form a team, choose register as a team captain. Make sure you have a team name in mind. After you register as a Team Captain, tell your team members to select register as a team member and search for your team name to join.

As a participant, you have access to your own online participant center where you and your team members can send email messages, track donations, and monitor progress. Login to your participant center to get started.

Yes, you can download the LUNG FORCE app for Android and Apple devices. With this nifty mobile app, you can invite friends and family to join your team, fundraise on the go and track your steps in just a few taps. Learn more once you register and enter your participant center.

Donations can be made online by credit, debit card or PayPal. Donors will receive a receipt via email for their contribution, which is tax-deductible. Donations collected via check or cash may be mailed to the American Lung Association office at:

Our LUNG FORCE Run/Walk is a 5K and takes place on the beach! Participants begin and end the race at The Dunes House. Runners are professionally timed, and we have awards for top overall, masters, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in 10-year age group categories.

Late Packet Pick-Up begins at 8:00 AM, and the Run/Walk starts at 9:00 AM.

The LUNG FORCE Run/Walk will go on rain or shine! In the case of inclement weather, your local event staff will notify participants of alternate plans.

Parking is free in the parking lot next to The Dunes House located at Folly Beach County Park. Please tell the parking attendant you are arriving for the LUNG FORCE race, and they will direct you to The Dunes House.

Yes! Pets are allowed on a leash.
