Autumn Escape Bike Trek Volunteers

The Autumn Escape Bike Trek is a multi-day cycling event that hosts hundreds of cyclists and volunteers each year. Our volunteers provide support both along the route and at our home base (Camp Burgess in Sandwich, MA) that make our cyclists’ weekend experience second to none! Without our volunteers, there is no way that we could create this incredible event year after year. Volunteer positions are available for the entire weekend or just a few hours. We need your helping hands…will you join us?

Location:
Volunteer positions available at Camp Burgess (Sandwich, MA) and along the cycling routes each day, including positions for both cyclists and non-cyclists.

Volunteer Positions:
While these roles will vary depending on our needs, volunteer roles include assisting with set up and check-in at Camp Burgess, setting up our start and finish lines, managing Rest Stop locations along the route, and more. For experienced cyclists, we are also looking for support along the route with Route Marshalls, SAG vehicle volunteers, mechanics and medics.

Time Commitment & Fundraising:
This is up to you! Volunteers can participate in the Autumn Escape Bike Trek for free and no fundraising is required (although always encouraged). For volunteers staying with us for the entire weekend, meals and accommodations are provided for free as part of your volunteer experience. While certain volunteer tasks will require a full weekend stay, we have a variety of options that will work if you have even a few hours to give!

Age Requirements:
All volunteers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult guardian at all times.
