Brian Hurley is an addiction physician and the Medical Director of the Division of Substance Abuse Prevention and Control for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Brian currently serves as President of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Board of Directors. He chairs the 2021 Strategic Planning Task Force; he also serves as a member of ASAM’s Medical Education Council, Finance Council and other committees. He chairs the Los Angeles County SafeMedLA Medications for Addiction Treatment Action Team, and is the Clinical Director of the Addiction Treatment Starts Here programs through the Center for Care Innovations, focused on increasing the delivery of medications for addiction treatment in California’s community health centers.
