Join our Virtual Kick-Off on Thursday, July 29th at 12 PM PST!
With both Washington’s and Cape Cod’s 2021 ride events occurring the last weekend of September, we couldn’t pass the opportunity to team up and celebrate all of us fundraising together towards the same American Lung Association mission. CLICK HERE to join us on July 29th at 12 PM PST/3 PM EST to learn event updates, hear how your fundraising impacts a LUNG FORCE Hero personally, and we’ll announce the Best Coast Strava Challenge winner! Also joining us is Dr. Victor Waters, American Lung Association Nation Board Member and Chief Medical Officer at Dignity Health - St. Bernardine Medical Center, to discuss importance of the American Lung Association mission. Can’t join us on the 29th? The recording will be available on Saturday, July 31st!
Every Mile Counts
As the largest fundraising event of its kind in the nation for the American Lung Association, Cycle for Air events have raised more than $29 million in the past 35 years. Reach the Beach Washington is a beautiful ride included in this campaign and we are going into our 5th year! This year a portion of the funds raised by the Reach The Beach Washington are supporting the COVID-19 Action Initiative.
This year's event offers various ways to ride, fundraise and connect with your other participants. Discover Cycle Your Way and plan your own ride, route and dates that work best for you. There is no registration fee for Cycle Your Way and participants are eligible for all the same incentive gifts as those who ride in-person on September 25, 2021. Click here to learn more about this exciting opportunity.
For information on event logistics, including additional incentives, ways to stay connected and how to communicate with your donors, please follow Reach the Beach on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Strava.
In order to make this year’s event as interactive as possible, we’ve created a Reach the Beach Washington Strava Club! Strava is a free application you can download on your smart phone to track your miles as you cycle in support of the American Lung Association.
In March, the American Lung Association launched a $25 million initiative to end COVID-19 and defend against future respiratory virus pandemics. At the same time, we're continuing our advocacy work to support clean air and redoubling our long-term commitments to lifesaving research.
