Semi-Annual Convening | Breakfast and Meeting, Via Zoom

Lung Mind Alliance Convening

We hope you are hanging in there with all the major changes you’ve been undertaking related to COVID-19. The heightened risk to those who smoke underscores the importance of our work to address commercial tobacco among those with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.

Our convening is right around the corner. We’ve shortened the meeting and will host on Zoom. We promise to give you good breaks and make opportunity for rich conversation and participation, just like we aim to in our in-person meetings.

Make sure to register by November 25th so we can send you meeting materials AKA care package in time for the meeting!

FREE CEU’s are pending for SW, LADC, LPC/LPCC.

 Learning objectives

  • Identify steps that can be taken to address the disparately high impact that commercial tobacco has upon people with mental illness or addiction in Minnesota.
  • Discuss the relationship between COVID-19 and tobacco use, and how it impacts the practice of professionals working with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Discuss topical issues including evaluation of tobacco interventions, reimbursement for tobacco treatment, upcoming legislative issues, organizational journey to becoming tobacco free, and health equity.

You can register online by choosing the Register option in the navigation at the top of this page.

Tobacco refers specifically to the use of manufactured, commercial tobacco products, and not to the sacred, medicinal and traditional use of tobacco by American Indians and other groups.
