Our Climb Safe Commitment
Our Climb Safe Commitment includes spatial distancing, health screenings, sanitation protocols, and face masks.
The American Lung Association is committed to the health and safety of our participants and volunteers. We will continue to closely monitor public health conditions and CDC guidelines as we plan for the 2021 event.
The Albuquerque Fight For Air Climb is a great way to challenge yourself physically while making a positive impact on the thousands of New Mexicans affected by lung disease. This year, American Lung Association in New Mexico is partnering with Firefighters from across the state, to host two wonderful events. A traditional stair climb and a modified Fire Fighter Combat Challenge. The combat challenge is a demanding 5-event physical challenge that participants will complete with the fastest time, and includes a stair climb. These challenges will promote physical fitness and are signature fundraisers for the local office of the American Lung Association.
In March, the American Lung Association launched a $25 million initiative to end COVID-19 and defend against future respiratory virus pandemics. At the same time, we're continuing our advocacy work to support clean air and redoubling our long-term commitments to lifesaving research.
Over the last 11 years, the Climbers have raised more than $60 million to support the mission of the American Lung Association. Last year, more than 26,000 participants from 43 Climb events across the country came together last year to raise more than $7 million.
