Let’s make sure everyone can benefit from healthy lungs.
Hello friends, thanks for visiting my page! Hopefully, it's because you wanted to know why I'm doing this run. If you've been around CLM, then you know I'm trying to build a big enough team to bring the Fitness Center Trophy home to Club La Maison. But, I am actually running for more personal reasons...
On the left, that's a picture of me and my mom. She's amazing! But her lungs are not. After decades of lung infections due to a compromised immune system, her lungs are a mess. Every day she spends hours on medical and physical procedures just to keep her lungs functioning. Her discipline and will to live make her one of the most inspiring people I know. I would run 100 miles if I could make just one of those days easier for her.
On the right is my Mom-in-Law, the wonderful lady my kids knew as Grandmom Lori. She's no longer with us, but because of a lung transplant that she received at Penn Hospital, my children had the chance to know and love her as much as I did. She was living with us when she received that transplant, and I will never forget that phone call. So thanks to Penn Medicine (the sponsor of the Radnor Run) and the American Lung Association (the beneficiary of the Radnor Run) for that priceless gift that I could never repay.
But as a token, I will run 5 miles on October 27th to raise money for the American Lung Association. Will you support me and this great cause? Please push that Donate button and just give what you can. Your generosity would mean the world to me and all those who benefit from the work of the American Lung Association. And, you'll get a big "Cheers" from me and my mom. By the way, if you want to know what the wine tumblers say on them... donate and I'll tell ya!
Thanks for taking the time to hear my story. To help support my efforts, and to change lives, please click on the Donate button.
Together we can fight lung disease successfully!
