Meet the Speakers:

Brad Goar, Program manager for FPL’s Home Energy Survey and Low-Income Weatherization Programs

FPL performs 100,000+ Home Energy Surveys annually. Prior to his position as a program manager, Brad was the residential demand side management marketing manager for FPL. Brad has a background in marketing and sales specifically in the telecommunications industry, where he held positions as Senior Director of Marketing and Sales for companies including Comcast Cable, Centennial de Puerto Rico and Charter Communications. Brad has a BA degree from Maryville College and did Post Graduate work in Industrial Media Design.



Mark Hauser, M.D

Dr. Mark Hauser serves as the current Board Chair for the American Lung Association in South Florida. He retired, in 2023, from Baptist Health. During his tenure at Baptist Health, Dr. Hauser was responsible for the healthcare’s system‐wide approach to evidence‐based care. He was responsible for overseeing the organization’s evidence‐based clinical care committee in addition to Case Management, Quality and Accreditation Operations, Pharmacy Operations, various clinical committees, the Baptist Health entity Chief Medical Officers’ council, and other physician hospital‐based councils.

Prior to his work at Baptist Health, Dr. Hauser was the Vice President of Medical Staff Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Baptist Hospital of Miami, a position he held since 2004. He received his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and his Medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Hauser did his post‐doctoral training at the University of Miami affiliated hospitals in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases. From 1978‐1981 he was the Medical Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital and assistant professor of medicine in the Pulmonary Division at the University of Miami. He practiced pulmonary medicine in private practice in Miami from 1981 to 2003.
