My dad lived with only one lung, after a horrible car accident, and the doctors didn't know how long he would even live. So I think about my dad while cycling, and I am joining thousands of other cyclists and the American Lung Association to raise money to fight lung disease and increase awareness about the importance of lung health.
Lung disease can take someone's breath away, leaving them unable to work, exercise or play. Growing faster than almost any other major illness, lung disease, including lung cancer, asthma and emphysema is the third leading cause of the death in the United States.
Please join me in my efforts to make a difference by making a personal or corporate tax-deductible donation.

The night before Reach The Beach, May 13
What a fun year getting ready for Reach The Beach, I invited several cycling buddies to join me on Team Tualatin. Facebook has been my most popular way to engage with donations, so I'm thankful that it has been so easy to setup and use. The weather forecast shows some drizzle on Saturday, so I'll be wearing some rain gear, like a Goretex jacket.
