Greetings and welcome to Team Kindred!

Co-Captain Tara Caponigro-Halikiopoulos and I are fundraising to support souls living with lung disease. Tara is a former student of mine. She is a high school mathematics teacher and dance instructor with a beautiful family of her own!

I will climb in honor of my beloved mother, Delores Inez Pollard-Carter (4.22.27-1.11.08). A career teacher of School District of Philadelphia kindergartners, Mom valiantly battled lung cancer and inspired me during that challenging process. Tara will take on the 50 flights of Three Logan Square in recognition of her wonderful mother, Mrs. Anita Caponigro.

Mrs. Caponigro (7.25.51-1.4.12) was a devoted wife and mother who resided in South Philadelphia. She was instrumental in cultivating Tara's love for ballet and other dance forms. She perished from lung and other cancers. Mrs. Caponigro lives in the spirits of her 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
