Participant Types

What does each participation type involve?

  • Climber, Elite Climber: These participants will be climbing the same route on event day. The event includes one trek throughout the stadium stairs.
  • Firefighters, First Responders, Law Enforcement: These participants will be climbing the same route on event day. The event includes one trek throughout the stadium stairs.
  • Ultimate Climb: The Ultimate Climb involves a continuous run of a section of the stairs. Once your bib chip crosses the start line, you will have one hour to make as many laps as you can. Stay tuned for more updates on the Ultimate Climb.

 

What is Double-Dare?

NEW THIS YEAR: We are offering the opportunity to participate in multiple events through our Double-Dare Challenge! When you register, you will sign up for your main event but may add an additional event for participation. Events will take place at separate times, and you may find a period of rest in between.

Most of all, this option is intended to be a challenge to yourself. You may find that participating in one event isn't challenging enough for you, or that you want to push yourself even further than prior years to see how far you can go - and that is exactly the mission of the Double Dare Challenge!

If you participate, you will recieve a timing placement in both events and will be eligible for an award in both categories. If you would like to participate in the SAME event twice, you will need to purchase a Double Dare pass for the same event (i.e. register as a Climber, then purchase a Double Dare pass to add Climber again).

Please note that dual-participants will have an increased fundraising minimum that must be met prior to your event check-in. See below for details on the increased fundraising minimums:

  • If you are adding the Firefighter or Climber events to your day, your minimum will be increased by $100.
    • For example, if you are participating in the Ultimate Climb (fundraising minimum of $250) and want to add the Climber event as well, then your minimum would be $350. If you are participating in the Firefighter Climb (fundraising minimum of $100) but want to add the Climber event, your minimum would be $200.
  • If you are adding the Ultimate Climb to any event, your fundraising minimum will be increased to $350. This includes the $100 fundraising minimum for participating in your initial registered event, plus the $250 fundraising minimum required for the Ultimate Climb.
