Event Day Schedule

  • 7:00 AM (ET): Registration Opens
  • 8:30 AM (ET): Non-Firefighter Start
    • Climbers will start 5 to 7 seconds apart.
    • Top 3 fundraisers go first.
    • Followed by VIP members (climbers who $500.00 or more).
  • 9:15 AM (ET): Firefighter Quick Dress Competition
  • 10:00 AM (ET): Firefighter Start
    • ALL Firefighters must be registered by 9:30 a.m.
    • Firefighters will start 15 to 20 seconds apart.
    • Top 3 fundraisers go first.
    • Followed by top 10 fastest from last year, if they raise $500.00 or more.
    • Followed by VIP members (climbers that raised $500.00 or more).
  • 10:30 AM (ET): Non-Firefighter Awards
  • 11:30 AM (ET): Firefighter Awards

Event Directions

Climber Etiquette

To ensure the safety of all climbers, please be courteous while climbing. If you need to pass, please make sure to pass on the left side.

Water Stations

Water stations are located on approximately every 10th floor. Water is NOT permitted in the stairwell.

Safety Procedures

Trained medical personnel will be located throughout the stairwell and at the top in case you need assistance. Volunteers will also be available at the water stations.

Children

Climbers must be at least 12 years old to participate. Any climber under the age of 18 must climb with an adult (age 18 years or older) and must not be left alone under any circumstances. For adults who climb at a faster pace, please note that your child may not be left unattended while you climb, so make arrangements accordingly. Due to building regulations and to ensure your safety and that of your child, child-toting is not allowed.

Awards

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of every climber and team who has raised money to fight lung disease. Participants and teams who have gone above and beyond will be recognized. Awards will be announced event weekend and details will be provided to winners for pick up. More details to be announced closer to the event.

Awards for fastest times will be given in the following categories:

Team Awards

  • Fastest Firefighter team (base on the top three teams)
    This is a travelling trophy.
  • Fastest Climber team (base on the top three teams)

Individual Awards

  • Fastest Firefighter
    Male and Female - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places
  • Fastest Civilian Climber
    Male and Female - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places
  • Age Group Awards - Firefighter and Civilian Divisions
    Awards to the top three finishers in the following age groups:
    14 & Under; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60 & Over
