Event Day Schedule

  • 6:50 a.m. CST: Power Hour Starts
  • 8:15 a.m. CST: Opening Ceremony
  • 8:30 a.m. CST: Standard Climb Starts by Wave Times
  • 10:30 a.m. CST: Full-Gear Firefighter Climbs Starts

What’s a Wave Time? Every climber and/or team receives a wave time. Wave times are staggered starting times that have about a 10-minute gap between them. Wave times eliminates having one long line of climbers and reduces the number of people in the stairwells at one time. Wave times are typically emailed out about a week before the event. If you receive a wave time that does not work for your schedule, we will try our hardest to put you in a wave time that does. Regardless of your wave time, we encourage all climbers to participate in our opening ceremony and stay to cheer for the firefighters climbing in full gear who are the last to climb.

Event Directions

Climber Etiquette

To ensure the safety of all climbers, please be courteous while climbing. If you need to pass, please make sure to pass on the left side of the stairwell.

Water Stations

Water stations are on the 19th and 15th floor of the climb course. Personal water bottles are permitted.

Safety Procedures

Trained medical personnel will be located throughout the course in case you need assistance. Volunteers will also be available at the water stations.

Children

Climbers must be at least 5 years old to participate. Any climber under the age of 18 must climb with an adult (age 18 years or older) and must not be left alone under any circumstances. For adults who climb at a faster pace, please note that your child may not be left unattended while you climb, so make arrangements accordingly. Due to building regulations and to ensure your safety and that of your child, child-toting is not allowed.

Awards

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of every climber and team who has raised money to fight lung disease. Participants and teams who have gone above and beyond will be recognized. Awards will be announced event weekend and details will be provided to winners for pick up. More details to be announced closer to the event.
