Event Directions

Climber Etiquette

To ensure the safety of all climbers, please be courteous while climbing. Please stay to the right side as you climb to allow for other climbers to pass on the left. When passing on the left, notify other climbers you are doing so by saying "PASS" or "PASSING".

Water Stations

Hydrating stations will be provided just before climbing and once you reach the top. Emergency Water stations will be available in the stairwell. You must step out of the climb and finish your water before re-entering the climb. Water CANNOT be taken into the stairwell, so please hydrate before the climb.

Safety Procedures

Trained medical personnel will be stationed at various check points throughout The STRAT in case you need assistance. Volunteers will also be available at the water stations.

Children

Climbers must be at least 18 years old to participate.

What Can I Bring in the Stairwells?

NOTHING! The STRAT does not allow any items in the stairwell with climbers. Climbers who break this rule, could be ejected from the Climb.

Gear Check

We will have a free gear check area where you can store your cell phone, keys, and other items until you complete your climb. While gear check is available, we recommend you travel lightly to SCALE THE STRAT.

All items must fit into a standard-size shopping bag.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are in various locations in the casino and up on the observation desk once you complete the climb. You will not have bathroom access in the stairwell.

Awards

An awards presentation will take place after the last finisher has completed the climb. (Estimated to start at 12:00 PM) All participants will be divided into the following age groups for award purposes: 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Personalized awards will be given to Climbers in each of the following categories on climb day:

  • 1st Place Overall Male/Female
  • 2nd Place Overall Male/Female
  • 3rd Place Overall Male/Female

Fundraising awards and incentives will be disbursed after SCALE THE STRAT fundraising closes on March 23, 2025
