What is the Radnor Run?
The mission of the American Lung Association is more important than ever to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Dollars raised through the 46th Annual Radnor Run will fund lung disease education, advocacy and research in Greater Philadelphia. These efforts will include research through the Airways Clinical Research Center at Temple Lung Center, Johnathan Whetstine, M.D. and Alfonso Bellacosa, M.D., M.H.S. at Fox Chase Cancer Center and Megumi Shigematsu, PhD at Thomas Jefferson University. Funds raised also supports the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer, and those affected by lung disease, including COVID-19. In 2020 the Lung Association launched a $25 million COVID-19 Action Initiative to end COVID-19 and defend against future respiratory virus pandemics.
