Day of Event Information

You’ve trained and raised funds, and now the big day has finally arrived! Don’t miss a moment of the fun. Arrive at your event by 10:00 AM so that you can check-in or get registered and ready for your walk. You will also want to explore our vendor tents and get signatures on your LUNG FORCE Action Passport, which you will turn in to be entered into a raffle drawing.

Don’t miss our opening remarks and lung health education from:

  • Walk Chair: Von Doss, VP Operations-AZ, Arizona Diagnostic Radiology
  • Dr. Scott Brandman, Medical Director Thoracic Imaging, Arizona Diagnostic Radiology
  • Dr. Nitika Thawani, Radiation Oncologist, Dignity Health Cancer Institute
  • Dr. Rajat Walia, Chair of Pulmonary Medicine and Medical Director of Lung Transplantation, Norton Thoracic Institute

LUNG FORCE Walks are a great time to meet other people battling lung disease, which is why participants who have a personal connection are encouraged to identify themselves at registration. If you are comfortable, you will be asked to join as a new LUNG FORCE Hero and will have the opportunity to share your story.

New This Year: Lung Cancer Education

You will hear from healthcare experts on the latest trends, resources, and research surrounding lung cancer. Meet the experts in the vendor village where they will be available to answer your questions and dive more in depth on topics of interest.

LUNG FORCE Action Passport

Visit each of our passport tents to learn more about our mission and meet our community partners to earn yourself a stamp. All participants who complete their LUNG FORCE Action Passport will be eligible to win a prize!

Mission Mile Markers

Remember and honor a loved one who’s life has been affected by lung cancer or lung disease, by purchasing a sign that will be displayed on the walk path.

LUNG FORCE Heroes

LUNG FORCE Heroes are patients, caregivers, family, friends and co-workers of those who are impacted by lung cancer or lung disease. These brave individuals share their powerful real-life stories online and at events to help raise awareness and educate the public about what it’s like to live with lung cancer or lung disease. If you're interested in becoming a LUNG FORCE Hero, please contact your Arizona Walk Team.
