Day of Event Information

You’ve trained and raised funds, and now the big day has finally arrived! Don’t miss a moment of the fun. Plan to arrive to the Detroit Zoo between 7:30-9:00 am so that you can check-in or get registered and ready for your walk. You will also want to explore our Mission Village area and get stamps for your LUNG FORCE Action Passport.

LUNG FORCE Walks are a great time to meet other people battling lung disease, which is why participants who have a personal connection are encouraged to identify themselves during online registration. If you are comfortable, you will be asked to join as a new LUNG FORCE Hero and will have the opportunity to share your story.

All participants must enter the zoo prior to 9:45 AM. Pre-event registration is required for all participants 2 years of age and older. In support of our annual fundraising event, there is a suggested fundraising minimum of $100 per person. Register today to save your spot. Registration will close when we hit our capacity limits.

Free Parking will be available on site. All pre-registered guests must be checked in and through the gate before 9:45 AM to receive free parking and utilize their event ticket. LUNG FORCE guests must enter through the main admission gates at the front of the Zoo, please note the Rackham Fountain member-only entrance will be closed. Convenience rentals are available during our walk. View the Detroit Zoo’s current list here.
