Event Day Schedule

  • 7:00 a.m. PST: Registration Opens
  • 7:30 a.m. PST: Elite Climbers Starts
  • 8:00 a.m. PST: All Climbers Start

*Climbers should arrive 30 before their assigned climb time. Climb times will post by the end of the day on Friday, February 24

Climber Etiquette

To ensure the safety of all climbers, please be courteous while climbing. If someone is going to pass you, please move to the left so they may pass on the right side.

Water Stations

Water stations are located throughout the throughout the stairwell, at the Top of the Tower, and in the Showroom / Theater. Water bottles are NOT allowed in the stairwells, as it is a safety hazard.

Safety Procedures

Trained medical personnel will be located throughout the venue in case you need assistance. Volunteers will also be available at the water stations.

Children

Climbers must be at least 18 years old to participate.

What Should I Bring to the Climb?

Please bring:

  • Any fundraising dollars you have collected and not yet turned in.
  • A roster of your team members, if you are the captain, as well as how much each person raised (if not already online).
  • Most importantly, please bring a positive attitude, your fan base and lots of energy!

What Can I Bring in the Stairwells?

Climbers are NOT permitted to carry anything up the stairwell, such as:

  • Water bottles, camel packs, backpacks, fanny packs, etc.
  • Water will be available at designated water stations inside the Tower
  • Infants/children Cell phones, cameras or any electronic devices / portable music devices, such as MP3 players, iPods, etc.
  • Hands-free devices
If you have medications like inhalers, etc. that are critical to your health & well-being - Do bring those with you as you climb, but be sure to inform event staff at the base of the stairwell.
  • Medical staff and paramedics will be dispersed throughout the stairwell to assist you if needed
  • Oxygen will be available

Gear Check

Located inside, under the escalators, near the event area. The American Lung Association in Nevada and The STRAT will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please leave valuables, purses, coats, wallets, etc. in your hotel room, at home, or with your guests.

Gear check must be minimal to ensure a speedy process; therefore, it is primarily for jackets, sweats, street shoes and all electronic devices.

Everything must be able to fit into a standard-size shopping bag.

Awards

An awards celebration and program will be held in the Showroom (on the 2nd floor) after the last finisher has completed the climb. (Estimated to start at 1:00 pm PST) All participants will be divided into the following age groups for award purposes: 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Personalized awards will be given to Climbers in each of the following categories on climb day:

  • 1st Place Overall Male/Female
  • 2nd Place Overall Male/Female
  • 3rd Place Overall Male/Female
> Fastest Male/Female Climber in each of the following age groups:
  • 18-29
  • 30-39
  • 40-49
  • 50-59
  • 60-69
  • 70+
Awards will be given in the following categories at the Inspiration Awards in June 2023:
  • Highest Fundraising Teams
  • Top Individual Fundraisers
