What is Reach The Beach Oregon?

Reach the Beach is known for being the best supported ride in the Northwest.

Reach the Beach Oregon is widely acknowledged as the official start of the Oregon cycling season! Four different routes as well as a Cycle Your Way option ensure that this bike ride has something for everyone - from experienced cyclists to those new to riding, including younger, novice cyclists.

Experience our all-new routes in 2023: Riding through some of Oregon’s most stunning landscapes, Reach the Beach begins on Sauvie Island, just west of Portland where the Willamette River meets the Columbia River. The route proceeds through the Tualatin Mountains with its dramatic forests and hilltop views, before descending to historic Astoria along the Youngs River. The ride ends at the mouth of the Columbia River with a finish-line celebration at the Astoria Bridge.

Also new in 2023: For the first time, Reach the Beach will offer a special Astoria Adventure Ride, ideal for families with younger cyclists and those looking for a shorter challenge in the saddle.

Cycle Your Way allows cyclists the flexibility to plan their own ride by choosing the day, route, pace and who they ride with. This option is customizable for families, advanced cyclists, and casual riders. Oregon is known for its beautiful wine country, stunning forests, and unforgettable beach views and we are fortunate to have an abundance of amazing rides in our backyard. How To Participate

You may register as an individual, team member or team captain as an in-person or Cycle Your Way rider online by selecting the REGISTER button on the top of this page. You will have the best fundraising tools at your fingertips, including a personal online fundraising page where you can raise funds to fight lung disease, promote clean air, and support our COVID-19 Initiative. Our online tools make it easy to raise the funds needed to qualify for prizes, and donations are tax-deductible.
