People driving from any of the start locations to the beach are kindly asked to stay off the roads that cyclists are using. We will provide driving route that will guide you to the beach and keep the roads safer for cyclists. Please especially avoid Highway 22 and Nestucca River Road. This part of the course is very narrow and we want to reduce the car traffic as much as possible for this scenic duration of the ride. Highway 18 west to Highway 101 north will get you to the finish line without traveling along these roads.
Reach the Beach riders are reminded to obey all traffic regulations and posted signage. Should you need any assistance, there will be a contact number posted for Rider Support.
As cyclists will travel from their start point to Pacific City on Saturday, often sharing narrow roads with vehicular traffic. We ask that you kindly practice safe cycling. Please ride single file and remain alert at all times. Please extend courtesy to drivers, course marshals, law enforcement officials, residents of communities along the route, and fellow riders. We strongly advise that all riders wear bike helmets. State and local rules or recommendations for safety related to COVID-19 will also apply.
We want you to have an incredible ride and reach the finish line before the event closes. Our support vehicles are with you every step of the way to help make that happen, even if you get delayed.
Please be aware that support at rest stops and on the course ends at the listed closure time. If you fall behind schedule flag down a support vehicle to give you a ride to bump you ahead on course. If you choose to keep riding after your section of the course has closed, a support vehicle will transport you to the Finish line. If you stay on the course, we will remove your rider bib and you will be riding at your own risk.

Please note that all riders must be at least 7 years old by event day in order to participate. Any rider under the age of 18 must ride with an adult (age 18 years or older), and must not be left alone under any circumstances. For adults who ride at a faster pace, please note that your child may not be left unattended while you ride.
