Day of Event Information

You’ve prepared and raised funds, and now the big day has finally arrived! Don’t miss a moment of the fun. Be sure to arrive at the Detroit Zoo between 7:30 - 9:30 AM so that you can check-in and get ready for your walk. You will also want to explore our passport areas and get stamps for your LUNG FORCE Action Passport. All participants must enter the Zoo prior to 10 AM. Pre-event registration is required for all participants 2 years of age and older.

LUNG FORCE Walks are a great time to meet other people battling lung disease, which is why participants who have a personal connection are encouraged to identify themselves in the LUNG FORCE Hero Area in Mission Village. If you are comfortable, you will be asked to join as a new LUNG FORCE Hero and will have the opportunity to share your story.

New for 2021, due to capacity limits within the Detroit Zoo, all participants 2 years of age and older will need to pre-register and registration is limited for the LUNG FORCE Walk. In support of our annual fundraising event, there is a suggested fundraising minimum of $100 per person. Register today to save your spot. Registration will close when we hit our capacity limits.

LUNG FORCE Action Passport

Visit each of our passport areas to learn more about our mission and partners to earn yourself a stamp. All participants who complete their LUNG FORCE Action Passport by collecting all stamps will be eligible to win a prize!

Mission Markers

Remember and honor a loved one whose life has been affected by lung cancer or lung disease, by creating a sign that will be displayed on the walk path. Mission Markers can be purchased during participant registration or in the LUNG FORCE e-commerce store, and a limited amount will be available for donation the day of the event in Mission Village.

LUNG FORCE Heroes

Our LUNG FORCE Heroes are patients, caregivers, family, friends and co-workers of those who are impacted by lung cancer or lung disease. These brave individuals share their powerful real-life stories online and at events to help raise awareness and educate the public about what it’s like to live with lung cancer or lung disease. Everyone's story is unique, so if you're interested in becoming a LUNG FORCE Hero, please contact Leah Diederichs. We invite you to Share Your Voice and read about other people's experiences online.
