Volunteer Information

We are always looking for volunteers to assist on event weekend. Most of the volunteer opportunities will be for event day, Sunday, May 1st, but there are a few on Saturday, April 30th. Here are some of our volunteer opportunities!

Route Marking & Signage Volunteer - Help mark the route with spray chalk the week prior to the event (schedule to be determined) and/or help place signage along the routes out on Saturday, April 30th. Vehicles, supplies and instructions will be provided.

Start Line Setup & Décor Volunteer Set up the start line and decorate! Setup starts at 4:45 a.m. and requires the ability to lift items and walk around. Complete all setup and decorations by 6:30 a.m. All supplies and instructions will be provided.

Parking Volunteer Help ensure cyclist and traffic safety by monitoring incoming and outgoing traffic at event start/finish line or event parking area. Requires standing for 5 hours and shifts start at 5:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. Instructions will be provided.

Rest Stop Volunteer Work at one of the various rest stops along the route. Rest stops need to be setup and prepared for cyclist arrival. Assist with food and drink for cyclists. Break down the rest stop and help load onto supply truck. Requires standing for 3-6 hours. Rest stop times vary and locations are in the following towns of New Hampshire: Rye, North Hampton, Hampton, Fremont, Newton, Seabrook. Instructions will be provided.

Route Marshall Volunteer Help direct cyclists along the route to ensure they slow down as needed and make the correct turns along the route. These positions are scattered throughout the Cycle the Seacoast routes and require standing for 3-6 hours. Times and locations vary. Instructions will be provided.

SAG Driver Volunteer Drive a provided vehicle along one of the cycling routes to monitor cyclists needs. Transport cyclists to the next rest stop or finish line as needed. Shifts start anywhere from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and duration varies depending on your route. Plan for 5-8 hours of volunteering with these positions. This position requires a valid driver license and is for ages 21+. Instructions will be provided.

HAM Radio Volunteer If you know how to operate a HAM radio and want to assist with event day communications, this is for you! Ride in a SAG vehicle or sit at a rest stop and help with communications as needed. Shifts start anywhere from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and duration varies depending on your route. Plan for 5-8 hours of volunteering with these positions. Instructions will be provided.

Supply Trucks Volunteer Help get supplies on and off the supply truck as needed. This position requires standing, lifting and walking around for 5 hours. Shifts start at 5:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. Instructions will be provided.

Food Service Volunteer Help pickup breakfast and set it up for cyclist arrival. This position requires you to have a vehicle to pickup breakfast and ability to lift items and walk around/stand for 3-5 hours. Shifts start at 5:30 a.m. Instructions will be provided.

Cheering Volunteer Cheer on the cyclists coming through the finish line! Clappers and cow bells will be provided. Shifts start at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Instructions will be provided.
