Since it was introduced over 30 years ago, the American Lung Association's Freedom From Smoking® program has helped over a million Americans end their addiction to nicotine and begin new smokefree lives. Freedom From Smoking® was ranked the most effective smoking cessation program in an evaluation of 100 managed care organizations at Fordham University Graduate School of Business.

The Freedom From Smoking® clinic program provides a group setting for adults to work through the quitting process. There are eight sessions led by an expert who understands how hard it is for smokers to quit. This may sound like a lot of sessions. But research has proven that the more time a smoker spends in a supportive situation, the more likely he or she is to quit for good. People who use the program are six times more likely to be smoke-free one year later than those who quit on their own.

Clinics are often conducted in a community setting, but can also be offered at your worksite. Freedom From Smoking® is the top choice of many employers, hospitals and health plans nationwide.
