Julie MeierBorn and raised in Hawaii, Julie spent 20 years in Corporate Accounting at Halekulani’s Corporate Office prior to starting her career in real estate in 2005. In 2006, she began serving in leadership for the real estate industry with the East Oahu Regional Group and the Hawaii Chapter of Certified Residential Specialists (CRS). In 2010, she became a board member with the Honolulu Board of Realtors (HBR) and continues to chair their Audit Committee. She served as CRS President in 2011 and was awarded CRS of the Year in 2013. She served as HBR president in 2014. She was an Aloha Aina Realtor Award winner in 2005 and 2010 and also honored as HBR Realtor of the Year in 2015. She is currently serving as an advisor to HBR’s YPN (Young Professionals Network) of Oahu Leadership Team.

Julie was part of the leadership team that opened the first Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Hawai’i Realty office on Oahu in 2015 and served as its Broker-in-Charge. She continues to serve as the Broker-in-Charge at-large for their three office locations.

Julie has been a board member for the Hawaii Association of Realtors (HAR) since 2010. She is currently serving the second of her two-year term as HAR Treasurer, after serving 10 years as the Vice-Chair for the Finance Committee. She has also served on the following HAR committees: State Convention Committee (2010 & 2014), Audit Committee Liaison (2013 to 2019), Investment Committee (2016 to present). Julie has also recently been appointed to the National Association of Realtors’ newly formed “Realtor Safety Advisory Committee”. She has also served on various leadership Boards for local charitable organizations, including the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii Board of Directors and Legacy of Life Hawaii Board of Directors. She currently serves on the Salvation Army Honolulu’s Advisory Board.

In addition to working as a Realtor, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, crocheting and playing Mahjong. She loves walking and being outdoors in nature’s beauty. Her mission in life is to Be Kind, Pay It Forward and to Leave the World a Better Place than she found it.

Julie is a graduate of Maryknoll High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California. She is married to Greg and has two grown children (Kawohi and Ashley) and two toddler grandsons. She and Greg are also the proud parents of an eight-year-old South African Mastiff named Gunnarr and a one-year-old Goldendoodle named Nala.
