What is Reach the Beach?
Reach the Beach is known for being the best supported ride in the Northwest.
Reach the Beach Oregon is widely acknowledged as the official start of the Oregon cycling season! Four different routes as well as a Ride Your Way option ensure that the event has something for everyone from experienced cyclists to those new to distance riding. Beginning at Century High in Hillsboro, Reach the Beach will offer the same top-notch experience with SAG support, rest stops, delicious food and an unforgettable start to your summer cycling season. Out on your route, you can enjoy modified routes which feature views of several of Oregon's beautiful wineries and countryside, rolling farmland and reduced climbing. On our longer routes, you will enjoy a rest stop with our good friends at Lee Farms, a ride by the historical Helvetia Tavern and, on the 2nd half of the ride, more llamas than cars. All ride lengths will begin and end at Century High School in Hillsboro. Along with your safety, our priority is to also get the summer cycling season in Oregon off to a terrific start. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Ride Your Way allows cyclists the flexibility to choose their route, pace, intensity, and who they ride with. This new option is customizable for families, advanced cyclists, and casual riders. Oregon is known for its beautiful wine country, stunning forests, and unforgettable beach views. Ride Your Way for an adventure. There is a reason Oregon is the only state in the country with official Scenic Bikeways. We also have one of the most bike-friendly cities in the country with close to 400 miles of bikeways in Portland. We are so fortunate to have an abundance of amazing rides in our backyard. Strap on your helmet and Ride Your Way.
