Our Trek Across Maine staff put the health and well-being of our community first and foremost. We have been closely monitoring the spread of the coronavirus and the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine throughout the past year. Based on the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local government officials, and communication with host facilities, we have decided to host the Trek Across Maine as a virtual event in 2021.
The Trek Across Maine is the largest fundraiser in the nation for the American Lung Association. Your participation will raise the funds necessary to help provide life-saving lung health education, research and advocacy efforts.
If you are already registered for the event, you will not need to register again. If you are not yet registered, the virtual event registration fee is $25.
Your registration will automatically be adjusted to “Cycle Your Way”. You do not need to pay any additional fees or take any action. Your fundraising will remain in your account and you can continue to raise funds to reach your minimum ($250) and receive commemorative items and incentives.
Yes, there is a minimum fundraising requirement of $250 for each individual in order to earn commemorative items (t-shirt, medal and sticker). The registration fee does not apply towards the fundraising minimum and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Virtual participants are not required to complete specific mileage, but they are required to meet the fundraising minimum ($250) to receive their commemorative items. However, we encourage you to try to complete your Trek mileage goal (60, 120 or 180 miles) as a way to stay active and keep your lungs in shape! You can Cycle Your Way by riding at your own pace, in your own way, to complete your mileage by June 30th.
Yes! If you would have been reaching a milestone vet year for the Trek Across Maine in 2021 (5 years, 10 years, 15 years, etc), you will still receive your award as long as you reach your fundraising minimum.
Yes! All incentive levels will be honored as part of Cycle Your Way. The fundraising deadline to qualify for all earned commemorative items and incentives is June 30, 2021.
No. The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Donations already collected may be transferred. Please contact Chrystal Toner for more information.
If you registered for the Trek Across Maine before February 15th and would like to transfer your donations to the 2022 event rather than participating in Cycle Your Way, please notify Chrystal Toner for assistance prior to June 1st.
If you registered before February 15th and your donor has requested a refund they can email Chrystal Toner or call 207-624-0312 to ask for a refund by June 1st.
