What is the Massachusetts Pulmonary Section?

The Massachusetts Pulmonary Section Annual Meeting is held annually in March or April, and offers a high-quality health professional program for Respiratory Therapists, Pulmonologists, Nurses and all health professionals with an interest in pulmonary medicine and respiratory health.

MPS2020 - The 75th Annual Meeting of the Massachusetts Pulmonary Section will be held on March 25, 2020 at the Boston Marriott Newton Hotel.

Registration

The standard registration fee is $130 (MDs/DOs) or $105 (RTs/RNs). We are pleased this year to be able to support the medical education of physicians-in-training by offering a limited number of discounted registrations (in advance of the event) for current fellows at a rate of $50.
Registration fees are payable strictly in advance of the meeting and are non-refundable in the case of cancellation.  Substitutions can be made in advance of the event by sending details to Michelle.Caul@lung.org.

Meeting Materials: Important information about the slide handout booklet
The standard registration fee does not include a printed copy of the slide handouts. All participants will be provided with a PDF version of the slide handouts.

MPS Research Fund Donation
Your contribution allows the Massachusetts Pulmonary Section to fulfill one of its most important objectives- to support local research endeavors and make a vital investment in improving lung health through the American Lung Association’s Nationwide Research Program. MPS has a long history of co-funding research and your contribution will help us in all our work including, supporting local research endeavors in the future. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of this donation as part of the registration process, but we hope that you feel able to contribute.

Exhibitor Information

The MPS Annual Meeting provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to network with colleagues and visit company exhibits to discover important information about the innovative products and services available to them and their practices.
We welcome companies to join us at the event to meet up with existing contacts and build new relationships with a large, vibrant and diverse multidisciplinary audience.

Henry D Chadwick Medal

The Massachusetts Pulmonary Section Annual Meeting includes the presentation of the Henry D. Chadwick Medal, which recognizes a recipient for outstanding service in the field of pulmonary disease.

Abstract Awards & Best Cases

The deadline for abstract and best case submissions is Friday, January 31, 2020.

All health professionals are invited to submit Clinical or Basic Science research abstracts for review and an opportunity to present to the plenary audience and be honored at the meeting with a $300 first prize scientific award.

We are also calling for the submission of Best Cases for discussion and presentation at the MPS2020 Annual Meeting. The winner of the “Best Case” will receive an award of $300.
