Healthcare Professionals & Students FAQ

Registration

The registration fee is $75 for respiratory therapists, nurses, social worker, community health education specialists and other lung health professionals. The registration fee is $25 for all students- respiratory therapy, nursing, and other allied health. Register by November 18th to ensure yourself a spot and materials. If after November 18th, please call 401-533-5179.

During the registration process, it will ask you what school you attend and what your college major is. Please fill in both. Also, on the day of the event, please bring your student ID with you and present at check-in.

If you will be unable to attend the Expo, please contact us to cancel your registration. Cancellations must be received by November 15, 2019 to be eligible for a refund. Unless there is inclement weather on event day, no refunds will be made after November 15, 2019. Substitutions are permitted.

In case of inclement weather, staff will be in touch regarding cancellation/postponement. We won’t refund unless in the case of cancellation..

Program

Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Community Health Education Specialists, Students and other lung health professionals are encouraged to register for the Professional Program.

After attending an Expo, participants will be able to explain and discuss new information on lung health issues, such as lung cancer, asthma, COPD, tobacco control and other respiratory topics.

This activity was submitted and approved by the Connecticut Nurses Association (CNA) for 6 contact hours. The Connecticut Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This activity was submitted and approved by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) for 6 continuing education contact hours for respiratory therapists.

This activity was submitted and approved by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. (NCHEC) for 6 continuing education contact hours for Community Health Education Specialist (CHES) entry-level and 1 continuing education contact hour for Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) advanced level Category I.

At the Event

Oxygen tank refills and wheelchairs will be available to attendees. Please bring your oxygen prescription with you on event day.

Please contact us if you have any specific dietary or other needs in order to participate in the Expo.

Dress comfortably. Since conference rooms can vary in temperature, you may want to dress in layers.
