We will not be holding the physical event on June 19 - 21, but will host a virtual Trek Across Maine through June 30th. Please refer to the updated FAQ’s below.
The Trek Across Maine is the largest fundraiser in the country for the American Lung Association. Your participation will raise the funds necessary to help provide life-saving lung health education, research and advocacy efforts.

If you are already registered for the event, you will not need to register again. If you are not yet registered, the virtual event registration fee is $15.
Your registration will automatically be adjusted to “virtual”. You do not need to pay any additional fees. Your fundraising remains in your account and you can continue to raise funds to reach your minimum and receive commemorative items and incentives.
Yes, there is a minimum fundraising requirement of $250 for each individual in order to earn commemorative items (t-shirt, bib and medal). The fundraising minimum has been adjusted for this year only to be sensitive to the current times during this pandemic. Virtual participants are not required to complete specific mileage, but they are required to meet the fundraising minimum to receive their commemorative items. However, we encourage you to try to complete your Trek mileage goal (60, 120 or 180 miles) as a way to stay active and keep your lungs in shape! Ride at home on your stationary bike or get some solo training rides in outdoors (please practice safe social distancing). You can participate in the virtual ride at your own pace and complete your virtual ride by June 30th.
Yes, if you are a Trek veteran to the event in 2020 (5 years, 10 years, 15 years, etc), you will still receive your award as long as you participate and reach your fundraising minimum.
Yes, all incentive levels will be honored (these levels have been adjusted to be sensitive to the current times during the COVID-19 pandemic). The fundraising deadline to qualify for all earned commemorative items and incentives is June 30, 2020.

If you registered before April 10th and would like to transfer your donations to 2021 and not participate in the virtual event you can do so. Please notify us if you would like to do this by June 1st. Please email TrekAcrossMaine@Lung.org or call 207-624-0312 to get the transfer process started by June 1st.
