Day of Event Details

The LUNG FORCE Run/Walk features LUNG FORCE Heroes and their families, a LUNG FORCE Action Passport to explore interactive education areas, activities and inspiring stories of hope. We invite you to join us as we share our voices and rally our family and friends to help us defeat lung cancer and lung disease one step at a time.

Funds raised will support our goals of providing $10 million in lung cancer research; $5 million to increase public health promotion including awareness of early detection tools, and advocating for increasing federal funding for lung cancer research to $450 million by 2020.

Spirit Poms

All participants will receive a LUNG FORCE Spirit Pom to carry and wave on Walk day. Spirit Poms represent loved ones who are currently struggling with lung disease or loved ones we have lost. Seeing these visual reminders, helps signify the connection we all have to one another. Our collective efforts will have a positive impact for generations to come.

LUNG FORCE Leaders

If you’re ready to take your fundraising to the next level, you could become a LUNG FORCE Leader! LUNG FORCE Leaders are individuals that raise $500 or more and help make a significant difference in the lives of people impacted by lung disease and will receive special benefits on Walk day. LUNG FORCE Heroes

Our LUNG FORCE Heroes include patients, caregivers, family, friends and co-workers of those who are impacted by lung cancer or other lung diseases. Our Heroes share their powerful voice on our website. These real-life stories help raise awareness and educate the public about what it’s like to have lung cancer or lung disease. Heroes may be asked to share their story at a LUNG FORCE Walk Kickoff event, Corporate Recruitment event and/or on Walk day.
