Updated October 4, 2023: Registration for the October 2023 Course is now closed. New registrations are no longer being accepted. Our next live event will be in April 2024. To be notified when dates are set and registration opens for the April 2024 event, please email COPDEducatorCourse@Lung.org. Another alternative is to consider registering for the self-paced COPD Educator Course. The learning objectives and content of the course are the same and you can go through the course at any time. Find more information about the self-paced course HERE.
The COPD Educator Course is a 14-hour professional education course that provides continuing education credit and a thorough overview of COPD information.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema, is a chronic lung disease that makes it hard to breathe. The disease is increasingly common, affecting millions of Americans, and is the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. The good news is COPD is often preventable and treatable.
This course will include practical information healthcare professionals can use in their work with patients who have a COPD diagnosis.
This course is for healthcare professionals such as respiratory therapists, internal medicine nurses, pulmonary nurses, pharmacists, and care managers.
Register by August 31 for the early bird discounted rate (automatically applied when you register). Registration closes after October 3. Visit the course FAQ page for information on registration fees and deadlines, cancellation policy, CEUs, course materials, and more.
