Small Steps, Bold Strides

Join us and turn small steps into bold strides toward a world without lung cancer and lung disease.

It doesn't matter whether you stroll, saunter, or power-walk: all are welcome at the LUNG FORCE Walk. It’s a celebratory atmosphere for all ages and abilities. The day’s festivities will include:

  • 9:30 a.m. Registration, Mission Tents & Exhibitors Open
  • 10:30 a.m. Opening Ceremony & Fitness Warm-Up. Hear stories from LUNG FORCE Heroes and Champions and learn how your involvement in LUNG FORCE is helping the American Lung Association make lung cancer and other lung disease history.
  • 11:00 a.m. Ribbon Cutting & Walk Start
  • 12:15 p.m. Party on the Pier! Return to Pier 16 to celebrate the Walk during an after-party with your fellow participants. More details on the fun to come!

Learn more about what you can expect on Walk Day.

There's a Walk Your Way virtual option for those who can’t make it to the Pier.

The LUNG FORCE Walk provides critical funds for lifesaving research, early detection initiatives, and awareness outreach to vulnerable communities.

      Why We Need You

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths among women and men. Someone is diagnosed with lung cancer every two minutes and 14 seconds. 4 in 5 of those diagnosed will ultimately die of the disease.

      Why We're Hopeful

More Americans than ever are surviving lung cancer. The survival rate has increased by a dramatic 13% to 22.6% in the last 5 years. Your support will help us continue the progress in our efforts to defeat lung cancer.
