Mask Policy: Per CDC guidance, masks are no longer required for fully vaccinated people in public spaces. If you are not yet fully vaccinated, to ensure the safety of our immune-compromised participants and volunteers, masks are required in official event spaces when in close proximity to other attendees. If you are fully vaccinated and still would like to wear a mask, you are welcome to do so. Read our Climb Safe Commitment to learn more.
Health Screening Survey: Our mandatory Health Screening Survey will be posted online and sent via email on Friday, June 18th. Proof of completion (screen shot of results or print out) will be required for all participants and volunteers in order to enter the event.
Spectators: Due to COVID-19 safety precautions this year, spectators will not be allowed unless accompanying a participating minor.
Gear Check: Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, there will be NO GEAR CHECK at this year’s event. Anything that you bring into the stadium must be carried with you while you climb. You can use a fanny pack, small backpack, or runners waist belt to carry items while climbing.
Timing: The Fight For Air Climb will not be professionally timed this year. We invite you to download the Fight For Air Climb App and utilize the new activity tracking feature to time your climb and count your steps! Report your climb results in our Timing & Activity Tracker. Download the App: Apple App Store | Google Play
Parking: Parking lots, garages, and street parking will be available for a fee. We encourage carpooling with those in your immediate family and/or pods.
Our Climb Safe Commitment includes spatial distancing, health screenings, sanitation protocols, and face masks.
The American Lung Association is committed to the health and safety of our participants and volunteers. We will continue to closely monitor public health conditions and CDC guidelines as we plan for the 2021 event.
In March, the American Lung Association launched a $25 million initiative to end COVID-19 and defend against future respiratory virus pandemics. At the same time, we're continuing our advocacy work to support clean air and redoubling our long-term commitments to lifesaving research.
Over the last 11 years, the Climbers have raised more than $60 million to support the mission of the American Lung Association. Last year, more than 26,000 participants from 43 Climb events across the country came together last year to raise more than $7 million.
