We're taking the Climb outside in 2021. We’re moving onward and upward, safely and responsibly, so that we can make an impact now to ensure a healthier future for all.

Celebrating its 15th year in San Francisco, the vertical race has been reimagined for 2021 as an exploration of the many beautiful staircases in the City by the Bay. You and your team and even your dog! can get outside, stay socially distant, and race up stairways throughout town as you collect points, prizes, and raise money for the American Lung Association.

Just like our indoor event, how you climb outdoors is up to you. You can race to the end or take it at your own pace.

Your safety is always our number one priority. While we are planning for an outdoor event, we are continually monitoring local conditions with regard to COVID-19. Check this page for the most up-to-date information about the event.

We need you in the fight now more than ever. Come outside for the shared challenge, for the camaraderie, and for a world free of all lung disease.
