Together We've Raised…
Our Goal: $831,000.00
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic and our concerns for your safety, the safety of your families and the communities we ride through, REACH the BEACH has been switched to a MY RIDE event. What does this mean for you?
MY RIDE allows you to ride whenever and wherever you want. You get to choose your route, your route length and when you ride. Your important, life-saving fundraising will still count towards our top-notch Incentive Gifts, including your 30th Anniversary Tee-Shirt and new in 2020 Finishers’ Medal. MY RIDE also includes 4 weeks of interactive online activities to help you focus on your training and fundraising, including trivia nights, how-to tutorials for you and your bike, beer and wine tasting and fun cooking demonstrations from your favorite rest stops. Please check our menu for more information.
The American Lung Association, along with the CDC and state and local health professionals, made the decision to move away from an in-person event out of an abundance of caution. We hope you will understand. We continue to monitor both the spread of the pandemic and medical progress on testing and treatment for COVID-19. You can trust the American Lung Association and the information we provide.
Thank you for continuing your fundraising efforts and for your support of our Mission and our COVID-19 Action Initiative. View our Why I Give document to learn more about why giving now is more important than ever. We so look forward to supporting you as you ride joyfully, safely and in good health between now and October 11.
** Participants are still welcome to ride one of our courses in their own time. But please note that, due to strict COVID-19 restrictions, we will be unable to provide route and rest stop support or start and finish line activities.
JOIN US THROUGH MY RIDE TO CONTINUE YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION!
Support our mission to make a difference for everyone who breathes. Your Reach the Beach MY RIDE is perfect as a personal challenge and an opportunity to bring together family, friends and co-workers to ride at their own pace and time, united around support for the American Lung Association. This new, flexible option is customizable for families, advanced cyclists, or casual riders. Form your team or join an existing team and express your support through a local ride or through another physical activity.
The Portland Bicycling Club has generously offered to help cyclists train and create the perfect route for My Ride. Whether you are riding the full century or looking to participate on a short family ride, they are here to help. Visit the Portland Bicycling Club website to view their weekly training route suggestions.
To sign-up, simply select the My Ride option when registering. If you are already registered, your registration was automatically switched to My Ride.
