I have recruited 11 beautiful woman of color from SO many different states to do the FIRST women of color climb for the American Lung Association's Climb for Clean Air. Despite having such varied life experiences, our isolated encounters in the climbing/mountaineering community speaks to the omnipresent barriers to the hobby and in our daily lives. Fundraising for the American Lung Association is so important to me, especially with the disproportionate impact on BIPOC communities and lung disease.
I am particularly passionate about being able to create a more inclusive environment in mountaineering. Representation matters. I am tired of often being the token woman of color a top our beautiful PNW peaks but this crew is making me feel like the world is capable of changing! Please join the cause today and support and empower the Women of Color Who Summit I would like to fundraise enough money for myself and ANOTHER WOMAN of color to climb Mt Tahoma (Rainier) - please help me make it possible!
FURTHER
I'm climbing for a healthier future, for vital COVID-19 research and for clean air. Through groundbreaking research, advocacy and critical education, the money we raise will provide lifesaving treatments and dramatically improve the quality of life for more than 36 million Americans diagnosed with lung disease. Join the Climb for Clean Air and be part of making a difference in the lives of lung disease patients and their caregivers. Every donation takes us one step closer to a world free of lung disease. The need is urgent, so please join me today and help us save more lives.
Every day, every minute and every second counts.
Thank you SO much!
With respect and admiration always <3
