Krystal Hirayama is a fourth year medical student at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, hoping to continue her medical education and training as a physician and an internal medicine intern beginning July 2023.
She is from Pearl City, and a graduate of Pearl City High School in 2011. She received her Associate's degree in 2014 from Leeward Community College, then her Bachelor's degree in 2017 from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, and a post-baccalaureate degree from the Imi Ho‘ola Post-Baccalaureate Program in 2019.
She began her medical school journey at the John A. Burns School of Medicine in 2019, and will be graduating in May 2023.
She is passionate about giving back to her community in any way that she can. When she is not studying or doing clinical rotations, she likes to spend her time outdoors with her husband and their beloved doggy (aka her baby) Chip.
