Dear Friends (new and old),
I'm excited to announce that this year I've decided to summit Mt.Rainier to raise funds and awareness for the American Lung Association's (ALA) Climb for Clean Air.
In 2018, thanks to a dear friend and employee, I launched myself into a fitness routine that in turn sparked a passion for hiking. In search of more adventure buddies, I leveraged my new found passion for good by signing up for the Trailblaze Challenge, one of Make-A-Wish's largest fundraising initiatives. This single day 28 mile hike, and all of the training hikes and fundraising leading up to it, had a profound effect on me. I successfully completed this challenge (the hike and fundraising!) in 2019 on the Foothills Trail in SC and in 2020 on the PCT in CA.
I'm excited to take my hiking for a good cause to the next level both physically and financially by participating in the 2023 Climb for Clean Air. My fundraising goal will be more than double what I had to raise for my previous hikes. And the money we raise as a group will provide lifesaving treatments and dramatically improve the quality of life for more than 36 million Americans diagnosed with lung disease. With the pandemic barely behind us, joining the Climb for Clean Air to support people battling lung disease really resonated with me.
To show your support please consider making a tax-deductible donation to my Climb for Clean Air fundraiser. By making a donation you will be a part of making a difference in the lives of lung disease patients and their caregivers. Every donation takes us one step closer to a world free of lung disease.
I'd also love for you to follow along on instagram (@juneallison), where I'll share bits of my training and fundraising journey.
Many Thanks!
