Let’s make sure everyone can benefit from healthy lungs.
Chances are you know someone who has faced the challenges of asthma, COPD, lung cancer or air pollution. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the American Lung Association provide community based education programs, fight for cleaner air standards and fund life-saving research. With your help, we will fight against lung disease and for lung health. We will be making a positive difference for all of the parents who have a child with asthma, the people who struggle daily with COPD and the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children and friends who get diagnosed with lung cancer.
There are several reasons I decided to participate in Climb for Clean Air. First, I am dedicating the climb for the loved ones in my family that have passed as well as those that currently struggle daily against lung disease. Second, as a physical therapist, I am intentional about living an active lifestyle and want to model that to my current and future clients in the community I serve. Lastly, I want to prove to myself that I can accomplish the climb as past physical struggles led me to believe that it wasn't a possibility. With help from volunteers, donors, mountain guides, and others in the community, I will be able to make it a reality.
Every donation I receive helps make a bigger impact. Please help support my efforts to save lives, donate now.
Current weekly training schedule: 30-45 minutes of cardio 4x/week, total body resistance work 2 days/week, one one hike...oh, and a day of rest! I just completed the second training hike on Saturday, 3/7. The first gear night is quickly coming up to take inventory of what I might need to rent or purchase to safely summit.
