Someone I admire suffers from COPD. He is a Veteran, caring father, and devoted grandfather in our community. He struggles daily for his every breath. In a recent tragic event, he was stabbed and left for dead. Miraculously, he survived and is presently recovering from life saving surgeries. While he recovers from unimaginable circumstances, his lungs continue to fight for breath.
In light of this tragedy, I am inspired to send restorative wishes of healing and peace for my friend and our community in the only way I know how.
And you can join me!
Chances are you know someone who has faced the challenges of asthma, COPD, lung cancer or air pollution.
By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the American Lung Association provide community based education programs, fight for cleaner air standards and fund life-saving research. With your help, we will fight against lung disease and for lung health. We will be making a positive difference for all of the parents who have a child with asthma, the people who struggle daily with COPD and the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children and friends who get diagnosed with lung cancer.
I never want to take for granted the breath that I take because in an instant it can be gone. That is why I am Climbing for Clean Air. In the blog space below, you can follow along my training journey to climb to the summit of Mt. Rainier at 14,411' this July.
Every donation I receive helps make a bigger impact. Please help support my efforts into our community and save lives, donate today!
