And, I keep coming back!
Hello there! Welcome to my personal fundraising page for Climb for Clean Air with the American Lung Association. This is the fourth year I will be lacing up my boots to help raise precious funds for The American Lung Association. This year, I will be staying a little closer to home and participating in the first Tahoma/Rainier climb of 2024 in June.
Each year I find the mission is closer to my heart than the year before:
- I climb for the crucial research that helped to develop the COVID-19 vaccine,.
- I climb for the memory of my uncle, Dr. Robert Sandoval, who lived with asthma and lost his battle to lung cancer.
- I climb to ensure that the Clean Air Act continues to ensure each breath I take does not increase my risk of developing a preventable lung disease.
I climb to support the American Lung Association's mission to provide lifesaving treatments and dramatically improve the quality of life for more than 36 million Americans diagnosed with lung disease by helping to fund groundbreaking research, support strong advocacy and critical public health education.
I climb to support people living with lung disease and are fighting for every breath. That sounds a bit dramatic, but you can trust me I am a nurse.
Are you trying to quit smoking? Maybe donate the cost of that next pack of cigarettes. Or, can spare $19 for their work in preventing future respiratory viruses like COVID-19. $37 for the 37 million Americans living with lung disease. How about $53 for 54 years of the Clean Air Act? Can't donate? Please share my story and my fundraiser with others.
