My Newest Challenge……
For those of you who know me, my life revolves around the outdoors, more specifically, Mt. Hood. If I’m not on the mountain, I’m hiking, biking, walking or playing at the beach. I have this passion for the mountain, and no words can describe how full of life I feel from being there. That’s why I have chosen my next challenge -- the number one item on my Bucket List – summiting Mt. Hood on June 5!
A Cherished Breath
My two hiking buddies, Karen and Sherri, are just as passionate about the outdoors as I am. We hike, walk and ride bikes. Yet their challenge is one I’ll never know – asthma. They continue to live life to the fullest in spite of the asthma. And from them I have a greater appreciation of the ability to take a breath whenever and wherever I wish.
It’s a cherished thing we do, breathing. Not that we think about it much, until we can’t. Unfortunately, the numbers who are constantly reminded that deep breaths of fresh air are not to be taken for granted are many. However, it’s not a losing battle, thanks to the hard work of the American Lung Association and us.
I need your help
We need the American Lung Association, and they need us. I’m excited to be a part of the Climb for Clean Air and to be raising $4,000. I’m also excited to give you the opportunity to help me be successful in my challenge. Any amount of contribution will be gratefully accepted; however, everyone who donates $100 or more will receive a 5x7 photo from the summit of Mt Hood. Mind you, I’ll be in it so that right there is refrigerator material for $100!!
You can make a donation two ways: 1) send me a check (made out to the American Lung Association) or 2) donate here, on the right...just that simple. And all contributions are tax-deductible!
Send checks to:
8002 NE Hwy 99, Suite B, PMB 238
Vancouver, WA 98665
PS – I have until June 1 to get my $4,000 goal met. Thank you for helping me and the American Lung Association.
